2017 Bright Pink Event! We had guest speakers (Dr. Lisa Anzisi, Dr. Andrea Licari, and Linda John) who have been through Ovarian and Breast cancer tell their story and educate us on women’s health! We also had Caitlin from Bright Pink present an educational program about Ovarian and Breast Cancer.

Also thank you to Caitlin Lopez from Bright Pink, for educating us on the prevention and early detection of ovarian and breast cancer in women.

Community Service
Our sisters do a lot of community service throughout the school year. One of the biggest community service days on campus is University Service Day, where the whole St. John’s University community participates in service all over the New York City area. Alpha Pi also participates in the Breast Cancer Walk each year!

Fundraising Events
Alpha Pi fundraises a lot by having bake sales to raise money for the Breast Cancer Walk, Relay for Life, and Project HOPE (Health Opportunities for People Everywhere).
Relay for Life 2019 – Alpha Pi sisters raise over $18,000 and rank as the top fundraising team at St. John’s University.
Relay for Life 2018 – Alpha Pi sisters raised $18,255.93 for Relay for Life, making us the top fundraisers at St. John’s University!
Alpha Pi raises money for American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life every year!
Sisterhood & Social Events
In 2017, Alpha Pi started a Sisterhood Retreat to help sisters connect more and exhibit our core values. It was a huge success and everyone loved it! We do a lot of team building activities as well as making vision boards!
